Installation Notes

Prepare the work area with an oil pan and rags to catch any drips.
Locate and unscrew the old oil filter using a filter wrench.
Wipe the engine's filter mounting surface clean with a lint-free cloth.
Apply a thin film of new engine oil to the gasket of the new filter.
Carefully screw the new filter on by hand until the gasket makes firm contact with the mounting surface.
Tighten the filter an additional 3/4 to one full turn by hand. Do not overtighten.
Refill the engine with the correct grade and amount of oil, then start the engine and carefully check for any leaks around the filter.
