Installation Notes

1. Disconnect the boat's battery to prevent electrical hazards.
2. Tilt the outboard motor to the full 'up' position and secure it with the tilt-lock lever.
3. Properly support the engine's weight using a motor hoist or secure blocking.
4. Disconnect the trim motor's electrical connectors.
5. Remove the main pivot pin and any other retaining bolts securing the assembly.
6. Carefully remove the old trim & tilt unit from the transom bracket.
7. Clean the mounting area and inspect for any damage.
8. Position the new assembly and align the mounting holes.
9. Re-install the pivot pin and all mounting hardware, tightening to the manufacturer’s specified torque.
10. Reconnect the electrical harness.
11. Remove the engine support, disengage the tilt lock, and reconnect the battery.
12. Cycle the unit up and down several times to check for smooth operation and any hydraulic fluid leaks. Top off fluid if necessary.
