This Propeller Nut Kit provides all the necessary hardware for securing the propeller on a wide range of Mercury, Mariner, and Force outboards. It is designed for Mercury/Mariner 6–15 HP 2-Stroke (1986 and newer), 9.9 HP 4-Stroke (1995–2004), 15 HP 4-Stroke (1998–2006), and Force 9.9–15 HP 2-Stroke engines.

The kit serves as a direct replacement for Mercury OEM part numbers 13914A1, 13914A2, and 13914Q02, and is an aftermarket interchange for GLM Marine 21286.

Installation Notes

Ensure the engine is off with the kill switch lanyard detached and the drive is in neutral.
Remove the old cotter pin or bend back the lock washer tab on the existing propeller nut.
Unscrew and remove the propeller nut, spacer, and propeller. Slide the thrust washer off the propeller shaft.
Thoroughly clean and inspect the propeller shaft threads for any damage.
Apply a fresh coat of marine-grade grease to the propeller shaft.
Install the new thrust washer from the kit, ensuring it is properly seated.
Slide the propeller onto the shaft until it contacts the thrust washer.
Place the new spacer onto the shaft.
Thread on the new propeller nut and tighten it to the manufacturer's recommended torque specification found in your service manual.
Secure the nut by bending the locking tab into place against the washer or nut.
Rotate the propeller by hand to confirm it moves freely without any binding.
