This Sea Water Pump Body/Impeller Kit is a complete replacement assembly for MerCruiser engines equipped with a one-piece plastic body sea water pump system. It is designed to fit a wide range of models, including Alpha engines with closed cooling, all Bravo and Ski engines, various Inboard models, and 330 (B-W) TR/TRS engines. It also fits Hi-Performance engines that do not have a solid plate front mount.

Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and close the sea cock (water inlet valve).
Locate the sea water pump on the engine. Relieve any pressure in the cooling system.
Loosen an drain the pump housing to remove any remaining water.
Loosen hose clamps and carefully detach the inlet and outlet hoses. Note their orientation.
Remove the mounting bolts securing the pump assembly to the engine bracket.
Clean the mounting surfaces and inspect hoses for cracks or wear. Replace if necessary.
Install the new pump assembly, ensuring the O-ring is properly seated. Hand-tighten the new bolts evenly.
Torque the mounting bolts to the manufacturer's specified value. Do not overtighten.
Reconnect the hoses and tighten the clamps securely.
Open the sea cock and reconnect the battery.
Start the engine and immediately check for water leaks at the pump and hose connections.
Monitor engine temperature to ensure the cooling system is functioning correctly.
