Troubleshooting & FAQ

How do I know if this seal will fit my specific engine model?

This seal replaces part number 323582. The most reliable way to ensure fitment is to verify the required part number for your engine using an official OMC, Evinrude, or Johnson parts catalog. While it fits a very broad range of models, confirmation is key.

What are the signs of a failing thermostat seal?

Common signs include visible coolant leaks around the thermostat housing, engine overheating, or engine temperatures that fluctuate erratically. A degraded seal can compromise the cooling system's pressure and efficiency.

How often should this seal be replaced?

It is best practice to replace the thermostat seal whenever the thermostat is replaced or when the housing is disassembled for any other service. This prevents potential leaks from a compressed or hardened old seal.

Can I reuse my old seal if it looks okay?

No. Seals are designed for one-time use. They compress and harden with heat and time, and will not provide a reliable seal if re-installed. Always use a new seal to prevent leaks.

Is this seal resistant to saltwater and marine fuel additives?

Yes, this component is manufactured from a high-grade rubber compound specifically formulated to withstand the harsh conditions of marine environments, including exposure to saltwater, heat, and common fuel system chemicals.

What’s the difference between this aftermarket part and an OEM one?

This listing is an aftermarket replacement (not OEM). Built to OEM-level specifications with comparable materials. Manufactured in an ISO 9002 facility, batch-inspected for consistency.

How fast is shipping?

We ship worldwide quickly—typical transit 5–15 days. Standard shipping is free; expedited options appear at checkout where available.

What is the warranty and return policy?

Covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If issues arise, contact support with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard window (unused & in original condition). See our policy page or reach out for instructions.

Safety & Important Info

  • Verify images/specifications vs your original part. If anything differs—even if your model appears compatible—do not purchase.
