Installation Notes
- Ensure the engine is off and the battery is disconnected. Secure the sterndrive in the fully tilted position to relieve pressure on the trim cylinders.
- Identify and remove the pivot pins or bolts that secure the power trim cylinders to the drive housing.
- With the cylinder dismounted, carefully pry or press out the old, worn bushings from the cylinder eyes.
- Thoroughly clean the inside of the cylinder eye to remove any corrosion, salt, or debris.
- Press the new bushings firmly and evenly into the cylinder eyes until they are seated flush.
- Realign the trim cylinder with its mounting bracket and reinstall the pivot pins or bolts.
- Reconnect the battery and operate the power trim through its full range of motion to ensure smooth operation before use.
