This Transom Saver Support – Fits Marine Outboard Engines with 3 Ram Hydraulic Trim Systems (Replaces TS003) is engineered to protect your outboard motor and transom from stress during trailering. The kit is designed for models with 3-ram tilt and trim systems and is compatible with a wide range of Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Honda, Tohatsu/Nissan, and Johnson/Evinrude engines manufactured from 1995 to the present. The included hydraulic steering stop stabilizer clips prevent unwanted engine movement.

This part serves as a direct replacement for QuickMarine TS003 and GHmarine 1H03.

Easy to install by manually placing it between the tilt ram and engine bracket.
Constructed from a marine-grade reinforced plastic cover with a CR rubber interior for durability and shock absorption.

Installation Notes

Tilt the outboard motor to its maximum upward position.
Before proceeding, verify there is at least 9.25 inches of clearance from the tip of the tilt piston to the engine bracket. Do not install if the clearance is less.
Warning: DO NOT use if there is a grease fitting on the motor's tilt ram; the fitting may be broken off, causing damage.
Place the transom saver onto the center hydraulic tilt ram, ensuring it is securely seated.
Slowly lower the engine until the support is held firmly between the engine bracket and the tilt ram. Do not overtighten.
Attach the two hydraulic steering stabilizer clips to the steering rams to prevent engine sway.
For maximum stability and longevity, it is recommended to use two transom savers to achieve better force balance.

How do I check if this transom saver will fit my engine?

First, confirm your engine is listed in the compatibility table. Second, tilt your motor all the way up and measure the distance between the tip of the tilt piston and the engine bracket. This transom saver requires at least 9.25 inches of clearance to fit correctly.

Which engines are NOT compatible with this kit?

This kit is NOT compatible with: Yamaha VMAX/HPDI/SHO 150-250 HP or 4-Stroke 10-200 HP; Mercury Verado (V8 & V6) 250-400 HP, Mercury Racing 300R-450R & 60R, or ProXS/Sea Pro/4-Stroke 9.9-150 HP; Suzuki 25-115 HP; Honda 8-60 HP; Tohatsu 15-60 HP; or Johnson/Evinrude 25-130 HP & 2nd Gen models.

Can I use this on a motor with a grease fitting on the tilt ram?

No. Do not use this transom saver if there is a grease fitting (zerk) on the motor's tilt ram. The pressure and contact from the support can break the fitting off, leading to damage.

Is one transom saver enough?

While one transom saver will function, it is highly recommended to use two supports to achieve better force balance across the hydraulic system. This distributes the load more evenly and helps maintain a longer service life for your equipment.

How do the steering stabilizer clips work?

The two included clips snap onto the hydraulic steering actuator rams on either side of the outboard. They prevent the engine from turning and shifting side-to-side while trailering, providing additional stability alongside the main transom support.
