Generic installation steps:
- Ensure the engine is off and disconnect the battery for safety.
- Shift the sterndrive into neutral to allow the propellers to spin freely.
- Remove the propeller cone, nuts, and any existing washers or spacers.
- Carefully slide the old rear and front propellers off the splined shafts.
- Clean the propeller shafts thoroughly and apply a light coat of marine-grade grease.
- Install the new J8 rear propeller (four-blade), followed by the front propeller (three-blade).
- Re-install washers and nuts according to your drive's specifications. Torque the propeller nuts to the manufacturer's recommended values.
- Fit the propeller cone securely to complete the installation.
