Troubleshooting & FAQ

How do I know if this impeller fits my engine?

The best way to confirm fitment is by checking your engine's model and year against our compatibility table. You should also verify the part number from your old impeller or service manual. This part replaces OEM number 47-F462065 for specific 20-35 HP Force and Chrysler models from 1976–1988.

What are the signs of a failing water pump impeller?

Common signs include a weak or non-existent water stream from the engine's tell-tale port, engine overheating alarms, and reduced engine performance. Visible damage like cracked, brittle, or missing blades on the old impeller also indicates failure.

How often should I replace my impeller?

As a general maintenance rule, it is recommended to inspect and/or replace your water pump impeller every 1-2 years or every 100-200 hours of use, depending on operating conditions. Frequent use in sandy or silty water may require more frequent replacement.

OEM vs. Aftermarket?

This listing is an aftermarket replacement (not OEM). Built to OEM-level specifications with comparable materials. Manufactured in an ISO 9002 facility, batch-inspected for consistency.
