Installation Notes

1. Turn off the engine and close the raw water seacock.
2. Remove the cover plate from the water pump housing.
3. Carefully remove the old impeller. Needle-nose pliers may be helpful.
4. Clean the interior of the pump housing and the cover plate. Remove any old gasket material or debris.
5. Lightly lubricate the new impeller and housing interior with a water-resistant grease or soap.
6. Insert the new impeller, bending the blades in the direction of pump rotation if known.
7. Place the new gasket or O-ring onto the housing.
8. Reinstall the cover plate and tighten the screws evenly.
9. Open the seacock, start the engine, and immediately check for leaks and proper water flow.
