Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and shift linkage before starting.
Carefully unbolt and remove the lower unit assembly from the outboard leg.
Locate and remove the bolts securing the water pump housing.
Slide the old housing and impeller off the driveshaft. Remove the old gasket and plate, noting the orientation of the impeller vanes.
Clean all mating surfaces of sealant and corrosion.
Install the new gasket, plate, and impeller key onto the driveshaft.
Slide the new impeller into the housing while turning the driveshaft clockwise to seat the vanes correctly.
Reinstall the water pump assembly and torque bolts to manufacturer specifications.
Reattach the lower unit, reconnect all linkages, and test the engine cooling system in water before operation.
