Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery and shift linkage.
Remove the lower unit (gearcase) mounting bolts and carefully lower the unit.
Unbolt and remove the water pump housing.
Remove the old impeller, gasket, plate, and key. Clean all mating surfaces thoroughly.
Install the new gasket, plate, and Woodruff key on the driveshaft.
Slide the new impeller onto the driveshaft, turning clockwise to orient the vanes correctly.
Apply a suitable lubricant to the inside of the pump housing and install it over the impeller.
Torque the housing bolts to the manufacturer's specification.
Reinstall the lower unit, ensuring the water tube and shift shaft are correctly aligned.
Reconnect the battery and test the engine's cooling stream at idle before operating at speed.
